It’s a grilled steak place, and they know how to grill and smoke . The menu is for carnivores! It’s pictorial, all food listings have an accompanying photo with the description. Salad Bar::: it’s surprisingly very fresh greens and other veggies. This goes with any order. Matambre::: a delightful crispy pork belly appetizer Costillitas BBQ::: ordered without the sauce, it’s wonderfully flavorful, succulent and WOW… smoky aroma… it among the the best BBQ ribs I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. the biggest surprise is the short wine list, featuring Vinos de España… NOTABLY, the listing are the lesser known Spanish wines. The bottle of Salía is a discovery. It’s a Grenache-Tempranillo blend, medium bodied, aromas is berries with subdued oak and tannins…. PERFECT WITH GRILLED PORK. Service is very good. The restaurant has a surprisingly great ambience, well lit with natural light. It’s got view of one of the volcanoes of Quito. Prices are very reasonable, including that of the wines ”

“ We thought we would have a boring and long layover at the Quito International Airport on our way to Atlanta when we discovered Casa Res Steak House across the street from the terminals. The beautifully illustrated menu allowed us to point and gesture as to what we wanted to eat and when it arrived, it looked exactly like it did on the picture and tasted it even better. The salmon and steak were cooked they way we like it. Even though we weren’t hungry anymore, we ordered a scrumptious brownie topped with ice cream. Oh my… so good. (Being in company we felt it inappropriate to lick the plate.) We can highly recommend this restaurant. ”
